A TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING . . .

  • Supports and assists leadership in the needs of the department
  • Provides excellent customer service
  • Oversees the seafood department in the absence of the manager
  • Procures product - best quality & price
  • Develops creative & aggressive merchandising plans
  • Orders & manages all supplies & products
  • Trains & works with staff to ensure quality & standards
  • Supports department sales & labor budget, grosses, and reports
  • Ensures proper merchandising & signage on all products
  • Supports merchandising plans
  • Keeps the POS department updated on scannable price changes
  • Develops & maintains vendor relationships
  • Keeps up on industry trends/standards/changes
  • Role models’ attitude of service to staff and customers
  • Manages, maintains and tracks shrink & inventory
  • Keeps up on industry trends/standards/changes
  • Maintains department cleanliness, product freshness, & variety
  • Ensures the dissemination & adherence to all company policies
  • Adheres to proper waste management and recycling procedures
  • Maintains adherence to all security & safety policies

  • Must be accurate and detail-oriented
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships and trust with a diverse group of staff, customers and vendors
  • Emphasis on selling and merchandising/creativity
  • Must possess intermediate computer skills including MS Office
  • Ability to have full body mobility (bending, stooping, twisting, & reaching) and have excellent manual dexterity
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess a strong desire to work hard, be enthusiastic, participate in achieving management goals, and lead by example
  • Willingness to take calculated risks to maximize sales
  • Exemplifies health department standards
  • Must be a team player, a leader and a positive role model
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs regularly and occasionally more
